The Center for Catholic Studies aims to situate Sacred Heart University as a premier Catholic institution committed to the study and discussion of Catholic intellectual, social, cultural, and artistic thought.
The center promotes innovative programming, teaching, and scholarship that demonstrate Sacred Heart University’s mission rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and inspired by Vatican II as a living, global reality, relevant to our lives and the world in which we live.
The center is home to ESTEEM (Engaging Students to Enliven the Ecclesial Mission), a national mentoring and leadership initiative. The program supports young Catholic professionals as they transition from college into their professional and adult lives and prepares them to become lay leaders in the Catholic Church.
