The Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC) is seeking a mission-driven Development Manager to help advance and sustain a growing national ministry dedicated to supporting prison, jail, and detention ministers, serving all those impacted by incarceration, and promoting restorative justice rooted in the Gospel and Catholic social teaching.
The Development Manager will lead and strengthen CPMC’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts, helping secure the financial resources necessary to expand formation, training, retreats, advocacy, and pastoral support for prison ministry throughout the Church in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual fundraising and donor engagement strategies
- Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, dioceses, and philanthropic partners
- Prepare grant proposals, reports, and funding applications
- Coordinate donor communications, appeals, acknowledgments, and campaign materials
- Maintain donor records and track fundraising progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with staff, board members, and ministry leaders to communicate CPMC’s mission and impact
- Support special events, presentations, and development initiatives
- Help identify new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships Qualifications
- Passion for the mission of Catholic prison ministry and restorative justice
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or advancement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build meaningful relationships
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with grant writing and donor databases preferred
- Familiarity with Catholic ministry, diocesan structures, or faith-based nonprofits is a plus
Position Details
- This is a full-time remote position based in the United States.
- Some travel may be required for meetings, conferences, and ministry events.
- Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
